Wash Your Socks

To clean your sock properly after a misfire, turn the sock inside out to remove debris. Mix a solution of warm water and dish soap. Dip a soft cloth into the water, wring it out and finish wiping it clean. If your sock is too stiff to turn inside out, you can use an old barrel swab with the warm water and soap to get the job done. Pat dry, or hang to air dry.

You can also make a cleaning solution of one part vinegar to one part water. Use a second damp cloth to wipe off the cleaning solution.

Remember, NEVER put your socks through the washing machine or dryer. This will almost always result in the leather cracking, shriveling, shrinking and drying out.
